Geography of Isla Vieques

Vieques or "La Isla Nena" (little girl island) or "Isabel Segunda" (Isabel II) is geographically part of the Virgin Islands. This places it in the Caribbean Sea, between Puerto Rico to the West, Isla Culebra to the North, St. Thomas to the the Northeast and St.Croix to the East.

Vieques is 21 miles (34 km) long and 3 miles (5 km) wide, and it is 52 square miles (135 square km) in area.

Vieques has two towns - Isabel II in the North and Esperanza in the South of the island. Esperanza is right next to Sun Bay, a beautiful beach. Bravos de Boston is the beach area in the East of Isabel Segunda.
